St. Paul Hosting Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper

St. Paul in Fayetteville will host a pancake supper on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13. This event is open to the public and will benefit the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department. The dinner will be from 5:30-7 p.m. at the church, 201 N. Rusk in Fayetteville. All you can eat pancakes, sausages and beverages will be served.

SLM Lenten Services 

The four churches in Shared Lutheran Ministry will each take turns hosting the Wednesday Lenten Services.

The first one will be on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14 in Ellinger at St. John at 6:30 p.m. No soup will be served.

Each service will focus on a different aspect of God’s will at work among us. Biblical characters are used as insightful reference points each week to guide us in following our Lord more nearly day by day.

SLM Congregational Vote All four churches in Shared Lutheran Ministry will have a congregational vote to accept the new Pastoral Candidate, Pastor Jen Kindsvatter on Sunday, Feb. 25. There was a Meet in Greet last Sunday in Rutersville for all to meet her and her family. Although she may be a new face for some, she has served as a supply pastor in our congregations over that last several months.

SLM Worship 

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m.

Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger Sewer and Water The annual membership meeting will be at the Ellinger Fire Station on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. The physical address is 208 West Main Street. Members may vote in person, or by mail in advance or by person in advance of the meeting. Please refer to your notice that was mailed for details.
