St. Paul Annual Chili Cook Off March 3

St. Paul Lutheran PTLS Chili Supper, auction and 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off will be held at the Serbin Picnic Grounds on Sunday, March 3. Cook-off judging and silent auction will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m.The live auction starts at 5:30 p.m. The chili and hot dog supper is from 5-7 p.m. There will also be a bake sale from 5 p.m. until sold out. Meal tickets are $7. The Chili Cookoff will have cash prizes and all proceeds for this event benefit future projects and improvements for St. Paul Lutheran School and Early Childhood Center. Faith Lutheran Spring Raffle Tickets are now on sale for the Faith Lutheran High School Spring Raffle. Tickets are $20 each. The drawing will be held the week of March 4-8, during National Lutheran Schools Week. There are fabulous prizes and only a limited amount of tickets are available. Youth Group Fundraiser The Holy Cross Youth Group Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, March 10. This drive-thru meal will include pork steak, noodles, green beans and corn. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at Holy Cross Church Office, La Grange Chevron, First National Bank in Giddings or from any youth group member. Tickets are pre-sale only and this fundraiser will help pay for the annual youth trip and fund other summer activities. Pick up will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds 600 FM 1482 in Warda. There will also be a bake sale set up for scrumptious desserts.

Bluff Creek Ranch

Mother and DaughterWeekend Tejas Camp and Retreat Center will be hosting their Mother and Daughter Weekend Getaway on April 5-7. This is a great opportunity for mothers and daughters (ages 8-18) to build on their relationship while creating great memories to last a lifetime. Applications are now being accepted for The Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship. This is a 4 year academic based scholarship for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2024. Game Day at Holy Cross 

The next Game Day at Holy Cross will be held Thursday, March 21 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo, dominoes and board games are offered.

Sympathy Extended 

Sympathy to the family and friends of Dianne (Schramm) Moore who passed away on Feb. 14. Her service will be held at Holy Cross in Warda on February 23.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Wednesday night Bible Study at Holy Cross Lutheran is taking a break during Lent and will resumeApril 3 at 6:30 p.m. This covers the book of 2nd Samuel, which discusses the reign of David.
