Sheriff’s Report
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of October.
Sgt. Ron Naumann took a report of a patron at a local convenience store causing a disturbance by cursing and verbally abusing the store owner. The subject was located and was issued a criminal trespass for the location.
Sgt. Angela Lala took a report of past sexual abuse of a child. An investigation is currently underway. Sgt. Ryan Meagher conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near La Grange. Consent to search was given to Meagher and methamphetamine was located inside of a pillow case. One adult female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Deputy Austin Moore stopped a vehicle in the Schulenburg area. After further investigation one adult male was arrested on several charges relating to possession of narcotics.
Deputy James Ulbig responded to an address in Warrenton, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation vestigation one female subject was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Deputy Duane Meagher took a report of fraud in which the victim resides in the Schulenburg area. It was determined the victims information was illegally obtained while visiting Las Vegas. A report was taken. Meagher responded to a UTV accident which occurred on private property in the Muldoon area. There were no reported injuries.
Deputy Cody Williams took a report of a stolen vehicle which was taken from a neighborhood near La Grange. Williams stopped a vehicle in the Engle area. The driver of the vehicle showed to have a warrant out of Kinney County, for smuggling of humans. Williams attempted to detain the driver at which point the driver ran from Williams. Williams was able to catch the suspect and place him into custody.
Deputy Herman Olvera was dispatched to a residence in the Swiss Alp area. One male subject was arrested and charged with aggravated assault family/household.
Deputy Seth Nagel conducted a traffic stop near Carmine, Texas for a traffic violation. The driver was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, Xanax and marijuana. The driver was arrested on numerous charges.
Deputy Jason Fowler responded to the LCRA Power Plant in reference to a wanted subject. After further investigation the subject was arrested on the warrant. The subject faced additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and impersonating a public servant. Fowler also responded to a juvenile complaint in reference to terroristic threat. After further investigation, one juvenile was taken into custody and transported to a juvenile detention facility.
Deputy Wesly Arrison observed a vehicle blocking the roadway on Loehr road. Contact was made with the female driver. After further investigation, the driver was arrested for DWI and unlawful carry of a weapon. The driver was additionally charged with interference of public duties. Arrison also responded to a report of suspicious persons at a residence near La Grange. After further investigation, two subjects were arrested for burglary of a building.
Deputy Mark Pritchard took a report of an assault which occurred at a local bar. Case is pending at this time. Pritchard responded to a verbal disturbance which occurred just outside of La Grange. No crime was committed and parties were separated.
Jail Administrator Holly Smith reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 64 individuals for the month of October. Smith reports that the jail staff transported eight individuals to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
