Shelter Offers Discount Voucher For Spay/Neuter of Family Pets

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 19 weeks into 2023 and the average intake is 32 dogs and cats each week. As of May 19, total intake at the shleter is 616: 316 dogs and 300 cats in need.

As of May 19, the shelter has 134 animals in care: 50 dogs/80 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partners.

Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County.
