Shared Lutheran Ministry Hosting Souper Bowl of Caring

Start shopping for The Souper Bowl of Caring. Each church will have three baskets; one for each team playing in the super bowl and one labeled “I don’t care.” Bring your canned goods to church by Feb. 12. All canned goods and monetary donations will benefit AMEN. The churches are grouped in two teams; Ellinger/ Rutersville and Fayetteville/ Warrenton. Who will collect the most for AMEN? Last year the winner was Warrenton/ Fayetteville.
Pancake Supper
Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper will be in Fayetteville from 5:30-7 p.m. Free will offering with proceeds to benefit the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department.
Ash Wednesday (Feb. 22) services will be in Fayetteville at noon or in Warrenton at 7 p.m.
Brethren Church Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

Note corrected dates: School will be released early on Friday, Feb. 10. Friday, Feb. 17 will be a student holiday and teacher in-service. Monday, Feb. 20 is a student and staff holiday.
Honor Roll
The following students were on the All A Honor Role: 3rd Grader Amari Rhodes and on the A/B Honor Role: 3rd Graders Skyla Dybala and Rilan Karisch; 4th Grader Makayden Smidovec; 5th Grader Brylee Brugger and Carley Michalsky; 6th Grader Briana Dybala.
Fayette Co. 4-H Competes Fayette County 4-H competed in Karnes County Livestock Judging contest recently. Rheagan Karisch was 10th high point individual and The Junior Blue Team won 14th overall. Rheagan’s team also won first place in the junior division. Rilan Karisch was part of this team. The Junior White Team won 20th overall and Hayleigh Pizzitola and Brylee Brugger was part of this team.
Chamber of Commerce The Chamber (104 W. Colorado Sky in Ellinger) will host Bingo on Feb. 11. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Hamburger, hotdogs, nachos, desserts and refreshments will be for sale. Two jackpots of $500 are guaranteed and 15 regular games.
Elections of officers were recently held and are as follows: Michael Schlabach-President; Nicole Ramirez- Vice President; Erica Michalsky-Secretary; and Paula Urban-Treasurer. Twoyear term directors include: Dennis Niesner, Charlotte Michalsky and Paulette Urban.
Ellinger Sewer & Water The Ellinger Sewer & Water Supply Corporation will hold the annual meeting at the Ellinger Chamber Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.
