Shared Lutheran Ministry to Hold Backpack Blessing During Worship Service

All the Shared Lutheran Churches will have a backpack blessing at normal worship times, kids (and other school personnel) are welcome to bring their backpack.

St. John in Ellinger will host a joint worship on All Saints Sunday, Nov. 3 at 8 a.m. with a mimosa brunch.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger Sewer and Water 

The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corporation will meet on Monday, Aug. 12 at the fire station at 5:30 p.m., note this time change.

Ellinger C of C 

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host Bingo on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the chamber hall. Doors open at 4 p.m., kitchen opens at 5 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Hamburgers, nachos, hot dogs and desserts will be served. The hall is located at 104 West Colorado Sky Street.

The chamber will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. in the chamber dining hall. All community and chamber members are invited to attend.

LGISD to Resume Classes LGISD classes will start on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Hermann Sons Life 

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will meet on Monday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.
