Serbin 4-H Fried Chicken Fundraiser March 30

The Serbin 4-H will have its annual Fried Chicken Scholarship Fundraiser on Sunday, March 30 from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Serbin Picnic Grounds. Tickets are $15 and available through March 21. Contact the church office at (979) 366-9650 for ticket information.

Knox Scholarship Fundraiser Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund Raffle tickets are now on sale. They will be raffling off two halves of an Angus/Wagyu calf, including processing. Only 100 tickets will be sold and two tickets will be drawn. Tickets are $100 each. Proceeds benefit the Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund and will be used to pay tuition for an incoming Faith Lutheran High School student. Drawing will be held April 27 with processing for the calf set for the end of May. Contact the church office for tickets at (979) 242-3333.

Warda Bunch Show Fund The Warda Bunch Show Fund, supporters of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show Exhibitors, will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 5. BBQ pork butts will be sold by the piece. Each piece will be approx. 2.5-4 lbs. for $12 a lb. Cups of sauce are $3 each. Orders for the piece (not pound), can be placed by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333 by March 26. Proceeds go toward continued support of the Livestock Show Exhibitors.

Knox Memorial Scholarship Applications are now being accepted for an academicbased scholarship from the Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will pay for the full tuition for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2025. Applications are due May 1 and are available from FLHS or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross 

The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, April 17 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Recycle Trailer 

The recycle trailer is located across from the Holy Cross Parish Hall. If you have aluminum cans to recycle, there is a bin at the church picnic grounds and the money from the cans benefits the local Trail Life Group. They greatly appreciate your support.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group meets at 11:30 a.m. They are studying the book of Galatians.

The Wednesday Night Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is taking a break during Lent and will resume meeting on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 a.m. Contact Cyndy Zoch cyndy.zoch@gmail.com for more information on this group.

Midweek Lent Services will be held each Wednesday through April 9 at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m Sermon links/streaming videos and additional information is on the website at: www.holycrosswarda.com The Post Oak Zone Rally will be held at Holy Cross Fellowship Hall on Sunday March 31, beginning at 1:30 and hosted by the ladies of Mount Calvary. Speaker will be Rev. Ryan Neuhaus, CEO of Camp Lone Star.

GEMS (Girls Embracing Mission Service), will meet on Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall. They will finish the t-shirt jump rope project, enjoy some fellowship, devotionals time, and snacks.
