Second Chance Emporium recently donated $1,000 to the Faison Preservation Society. Monies donated will be used to purchase supplies needed to maintain and preserve the historic Nathaniel Faison House in La Grange. Second Chance Emporium recently donated $10,000 to Feed the Need Missions (FTNM). Monies donated will be used to fund the building of a new mobile trailer for weekly site operations. The new trailer will improve operation capabilities, replace aging components on the current trailer and offer opportunities to expand to other local sites. Feed the Need Missions is a non-profit hunger relief organization that recognizes hunger comes in many forms. Mobile truck/trailer volunteers feed the community both physically and spiritually. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $5,000 to the Leopard Education Program Support (LEPS) Foundation. Monies donated will be used to purchase stainless steel prep tables and adjustable shop stools for the new Floral Design Class offered at La Grange High School (LHS). Additionally, funds will be used to purchase scissors and various tools needed to work with floral designing. This is a new class curriculum offered to students for the 2022-2023 school year through the school’s agriculture department as a career technical education program. Monies donated will be used to offset conductor and narrator fees for the annual “Young Persons’ Concert” which is free for all ages to enjoy, learn and engage with the orchestra sections. Round Top Festival Institute offers artistic and cultural programming opportunities for educational purposes to the public.
