    Schulenburg Police Respond to Illegal Burning

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 10-16.

Illegal Burning

On March 14, Officer MD Krenek responded to the 800 block of Upton for illegal burning. Homeowner was advised that you could not burn leaves on the open ground.

Agency Assist

On March 10, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 2500 block of E. Hwy. 90 to assist with loose livestock.

Accident

On March 12, Officer Juan Castilleja responded to the 700 block of Lyons for an accident.

DWI

On March 10, Officer Byron Powe stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Kessler for failure to maintain a single lane. Driver arrested for DWI.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On March 11, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 1100 block of Bohlmann for a suspicious person.

On March 12, Vincent responded to the 25 block of N. Kessler for a suspicious person. 

Civil Matter

On March 10, Whited was dispatched to the 800 block of Hwy. 77 for a civil matter with a customer damaging a room.

Traffic Stop

On March 13, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 91 in a 75.

On March 14, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for unauthorized reproduction purchase, use, or sale of temporary tags.

On March 14, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for operating a vehicle with no license plate. Driver received a warning for no license plate and expired registration (3-23) On March 14-Powe stopped a driver in the 14 block of N. Kessler for expired registration (9-23) Driver received a warning.

On March 14, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for a speeding violation. Driver issued a citation.

On March 14-Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of Lyons for operating an unregistered vehicle (9-22) Driver received warnings for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, expired drivers license, and no insurance.

On March 14, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning.

On March 14, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning for defective headlight and expired registration.
