Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Feb. 12-18:

Animal Complaint

On Feb. 17, Gina Harden Code Enforcement Animal Control Officer went to the 600 block of South Street after receiving complaints of noise and nasty odors coming from that area. Harden delivered a code enforcement notice to the resident.

On Feb. 17, Harden received a call from a homeowner in reference to a notice she delivered that morning, Harden explained that there have been complaints made about the livestock and that it needed to be removed outside city limits.

Alarm

On Feb. 18, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Upton for an alarm. Officer upon arrival found a cleaning lady in the church and she did not remember the alarm code.

Criminal Trespass

On Feb. 14, Officer Chris Kalina responded to the 900 block of Herder for criminal trespass. Owner advised she did not want a criminal trespass warning, just did not want the individual on her property. Offer spoke with the subject that was going on to the property and advised her to not go back or criminal action would be taken.

Disturbance

On Feb. 18, Castilleja was dispatched to the 1200 block o South Street for a disturbance between two females. Parties were separated for the night.

Suspicious Vehicle

On Feb. 18, Castilleja observed an open gate at Chuck Brown Ford and informed dispatch. Officer talked with the individual inside the location who provided a delivery manifest for parts being dropped off at the dealership.

Traffic Stop

On Feb. 12, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 25 block of N. Kessler for an unregistered vehicle. Driver received a warning for that and unauthorized use of a temporary tag. On Feb. 12, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N Kessler for expired registration (5-22) Driver received a citation.

On Feb. 12, Powe stopped a driver for speeding going 59 in a 45 in the 700 block of N. Kessler. Driver received a cita- tion.

On Feb. 12, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for a defective taillight. Driver received a citation for no driver’s license.

On Feb. 15, Sgt. Tobey McFadden stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding and a warning was issued.

On Feb. 15, Powe stopped a driver for speeding in a school zone going 40 in a 25 in the 100 block of N. Kessler. Consent to search was given and a small amount of marijuana was located and destroyed on scene. Driver received a citation.

On Feb. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 14 bock of N. Kessler for unauthorized use of a temporary tag. Driver received a citation for no insurance and unauthorized use of tag.

On Feb. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of Kessler for expired registration (6-21) Driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

On Feb. 15, Officer MD Krenek stopped a driver at James and summit for disregarding a stop sign. Driver was issued a warning for stop sign and a citation for no insurance.

On Feb. 16, Krenek stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding. Driver issued citation for speeding, expired registration and no insurance.

On Feb. 16, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 35 in a 25. Driver received a citation for speeding and a warning for expired drivers license.

On Feb. 16, Harden stopped a driver for speeding n a school zone in the 100 block of N. Kessler. Driver received a citation.

On Feb. 17, Krenek stopped a driver for expired registration in the 25 block of N. Kessler. Driver received a citation.

Miscellaneous

On Feb. 12, Krenek responded to the 100 block of Russek where complainant advising of bright lights on her front porch and bedroom window. Officer upon arrival found no lights at all. Call cleared.

On Feb. 16, Krenek was dispatched to the 100 block of Russek for neighbor’s lights bothering the complainant. Officer arrived and no lights were shining. Officer spoke with complainant and advised her that all was fine and cleared call.

On Feb. 17, Castilleja along with Sgt. Rusty Roggenkamp were dispatched to the 1100 bock of JA Green for a welfare check. Officers made contact with the individual.
