Schulenburg Police Chief Reports on Recent Activity

Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 30 through Nov. 5.

Animal Complaint

On Nov. 1, Officer MD Krenek responded to the 1100 bock of James Avenue for a dog that was missing from individuals’ front porch. Office attempted to locate the dog but was unsuccessful.

Agency Assist

On Nov. 1, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 1000 block of Bohlmann Avenue for a 60 year old male found conscious but unresponsive. Medic arrived and subject was taken to a medical facility in Austin.

Civil Matter

On Nov. 3, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 200 block of W. I-10 in regard to a civil matter.

On Nov. 4, Powe responded to the 200 block of N. Main for a civil matter between girlfriend and ex boyfriend.

Disturbance

On Oct.31, Krenek along with Sgt. McFadden and Officer Frank Parkinson arrived to the 2000 block of US Highway 90 for a disturbance between residents.

Theft

On Nov. 5, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden was dispatched to the 1100 block of James venue in reference to theft.

Traffic Stop

On Oct. 31, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 36 in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 31, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 700 block of Kessler for speeding going 61 in a 45 mph zone.

On Oct. 31, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 92 in a 75 and an unrestrained child. Citations were issued.

On Oct. 31, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 41 in a 25-school zone and a citation was issued.

On Oct. 31, McFadden stopped a driver in the 600 block of Summit for driving without taillights. A warning was issued for defective tail lamps.

On Oct. 31, McFadden stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 37 in a 25. Citation was issued.

On Nov. 1, Powe stopped a driver in the 60 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 87 in a 75. A citation was issued.

On Nov. 1, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 bock of W. I-10 for speeding going 90 in a 75. Citation issued.

On Nov. 1, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for gong 39 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Nov. 1, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W I-10 for speeding going 92 in a 75. A citation was issued.

On Nov. 1, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 40 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Nov. 2, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 88 in a 75. A citation was issued.

On Nov. 4, McFadden stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 38 in a 25. Citation was issued.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 800 block of Kessler for going 46 in a 30 mph zone.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 37 in a 25 mph school zone. Citation issued.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 34 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 47 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 38 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Nov. 4, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 800 block of Kessler for going 51 in a 30 mph zone.

Miscellaneous

On Oct. 31, Krenek was dispatched to the area of Schultz and Eilers for a pickup truck causing a traffic hazard. Officer observed a vehicle parked in the ditch and driver sitting on tailgate handing out Halloween candy. No further action taken.
