Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 6-12.

Agency Assist

On Nov. 8, Officer Byron Powe was dispatched to the 25 N. Block of Kessler for a gas leak. Officer found an 18-wheeler with a punctured diesel tank.

Animal Complaint

On Nov. 6, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden was dispatched to the 200 block of Ranger for a loose horse running south on Herder. Officer located horse with a saddle in the field. Horse was loaded into trailer by owner and friends.

On Nov. 7, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 700 block of Kallus for a dog chasing sheep in a back yard. Pit Bull located and put in pound.

On Nov. 7, Code enforcement animal control Officer Gina Harden responded to the 600 block of Lyons and picked up a pregnant pit-bull and took to Dr. Sladek.

On Nov. 7, Harden received a call about a dead raccoon in backyard in the 1400 block of Herder. Harden disposed of properly.

Burglary of Vehicle

On Nov. 7, Officer Chris Kalina investigated vehicle burglaries in the 200 block of Russek.

Civil Matter

On Nov. 11, Kalina responded to the 600 block of Upton for a mother and son and another female student bullying each other.

Disturbance

On Nov. 6, Officer M.D. Krenek along with officer Powe was dispatched to the Hitching Post in regard to two individuals having an altercation.

On Nov. 7, Vincent responded to the 500 block of Paulus for two subjects arguing. Parties separated.

On Nov. 12, Kalina responded to the 200 block of Anderson in reference to a disturbance, Parties separated and learned the disturbance was verbal.

Forgery

On Nov. 8, Kalina was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a skimmer.

Traffic Stop

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for vehicle with expired registration (2-22) and citation for no insurance.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a car in the 600 block of W. I-10 for no license plate light. Driver received citation for no drivers’license.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W I-10 for speeding going 95 in a 75. Driver issued a citation.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E I-10 for speeding going 86 in a 75. Driver received a citation for speeding and no drivers’ license. Passenger the owner of vehicle received citation for no insurance and unauthorized use of purchase of a temporary tag.

On Nov. 6, McFadden stopped a driver at James and Summit for no license plate. During the stop officer learned the driver had a suspended drivers license and informed the driver the passenger would have to drive who had a clear drivers license. Warning was issued for not having permit displayed and suspended drivers license.

On Nov. 6, Krenek stopped a driver at Kellett and Summit for failure to signal within required distance. The driver was issued a citation for no drivers’ license and a warning for failure to signal within required distance.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for defective tail light and expired registration (9-22). Driver received citation for no drivers license and no insurance.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver for speeding going 92 in a 75 in the 600 block of E. I-10. Driver received a citation for speeding and expired drivers license.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for failure to move over or slow down. Driver received citation for passing certain vehicles.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver for speeding going 89 in a 75 in the 600 block of E. I-10. Driver received a citation.

On Nov. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for defective headlight. Driver received a citation for expired registration (9-21) and operating a vehicle under improper registration.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped driver in the 600 block of Kessler for running a red light. Driver received a citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-0 for speeding going 91 in a 75. Driver received a citation.

No. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 95 in a 75. Driver received citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 87 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver for a defective taillight in the 600 block of W I-10 and a search was conducted and small amount of marijuana located and disposed of at the scene Driver received a citation for defective taillight and expired registration.

On Nov. 7-Powe stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 42 in a 25. Driver received a citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Main for expired registration (8-22) and driver received a citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver for speeding in a school zone in the 100 block of Kessler. Driver received a citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 89 in a 75. Driver issued a citation.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 83 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On Nov. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for turning when unsafe. Officer searched due to open alcoholic containers in plain view, no other contraband located. Driver received warning for turning when unsafe.

On Nov. 8, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-0 for speeding going 92 in a 75. Driver received a citation.

On Nov. 8, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for expired registration (922) Driver received citations for expired registration and for displaying the wrong license plate to avoid detection of the expired registration.
