Schulenburg Officers Keep Up with Speeders
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 21-27.
Traffic Stop
On Jan. 25, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 800 block of Kessler for speeding. Driver was given a warning.
On Jan. 25, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding, A warning was issued.
On Jan. 25, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 80 block of Kessler for speeding. Driver issued a warning.
On Jan. 25, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued.
On Jan. 26, Whited stopped a driver for speeding in the 400 block of Black Street in a school zone. Driver did not have a driver’s license and was cited for speeding and no driver’s license.
Agency Assist
On Jan. 26, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bryant Rd. regarding a domestic disturbance. No physical violence but parties were separated.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 25, Officer Juan Castilleja was contacted about a Loose dog in the 1100 block of JA Green Street. Dog was returned to owner and the owner was advised if it gets loose again, it will be placed in the city pound and a citation issued.
On Jan. 27, Krenek observed a loose brown horse in the 300 block of St. John and while attempting to pen the horses two additional horses got loose. The fence is bad, and the horses have been getting out on a regular basis. The owner of horses arrived and was advised if they get loose again, citations would be issued.
Accident
On Jan. 21, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for an accident on private property.
On Jan. 26, Krenek was dispatched to the 50 block of N. Kessler for a minor vehicle accident.
Civil Matter
On Jan. 21, Vincent was dispatched to the 600 block of Upton regarding a child custody exchange.
On Jan. 27, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 100 block of Hummingbird regarding a civil matter with a male and female over child custody.
911 Hang Up
On Jan. 24, Krenek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Eilers for 911 open line. Officer arrived and heard a female yelling. Doors were all locked but the resident did open door and all was fine, she advised she did not call 911.
