Schulenburg Class of 1960 Holds Reunion

The Schulenburg High School Class of 1960 held a reunion on October 5, 2023 at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia. At this time 64 years ago, the classmates were starting their Senior year at SHS. Of the 16 classmates in attendance at this reunion, seven were at SHS for the complete 12 years of schooling. Also, it was decided by the classmates, a reunion will be held on the 1st Thursday in October of each year.

Something unusual happened at our reunion, Clarence Hoffman of the SHS 1960 Class of Smithville High School stopped by and cordially invited us to their annual high school reunion in April of each year. When our (Schulenburg) 1960 SHS Class reunion notice was sent out this year, the Smithville High School of 1960 Class President asked Clarence to go and invite us to their reunion.
