Sacred Heart Catholic Church Holds Blessing of the Pets

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Father Chris of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrated Blessing of the Pets in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. His feast day occurs yearly on Oct. 4 as we remember his love for God’s Creation.

It was a beautiful day to bless the children’s animals. A great time was had by all of our kiddos and families. Those who couldn’t bring pets brought their stuffed animals instead. St. Francis, pray for us and all our furry and scaly friends.
