RT-Warrenton VFD Fundraiser Underway

The 2024 Round Top-Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser is coming up. Join the community in supporting and sustaining the services provided by our local VFD through raffle sales and free will donations. A drawing will be held on June 13. Proceeds go towards the purchase of equipment, maintenance, insurance, operations, and personal training.

Raffle tickets are available at Round Top State Bank, Round Top Real Estate, Round Top Service Station, Round Top Farm & Ranch, Round Top Mercantile, Fayetteville Propane, Carmine State Bank, La Grange Electric Motor Service, or any Fire Department member.

Donations can be dropped off at Round Top State Bank, or mailed to the Round Top-Warrenton VFD at P.O. Box 194, Round Top, Texas 78954.

Winedale 

The next Winedale Online Talk: “All Trails Led to Houston” will be Tuesday, May 14. Photographer, and author Ray Viator, will talk about the riders, horses, wagons, and western traditions celebrated each day of the trail rides that lead to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Tickets are now on sale for the Shakespeare spring class performance of Henry V at the Winedale Theater Barn April 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets: https://tinyurl.com/henryvwinedale Round Top Family Library A Senior Citizen Gaming Party will be Sunday, May 26 from 2-4 p.m. Enjoy fellowship and win prizes. All are welcome.

TAMU Safety Day will be Thursday, June 6 from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. There will be first aid training, CPR/AED, mental health awareness, and active shooter training. Lunch will be served.

Festival Hill 

The Texas Brass Fest will be Saturday, May 25 from 1 to 7 p.m. This day-long celebration of the British Brass Band Tradition will bring together some of the finest Brass Bands in Texas. These talented bands will showcase their skills and passion for brass banding. Visit festivalhill.org for ticket information.

RT-C ISD Wednesday, May 22 is a free dental clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. (visit nursing.tamu.edu/ mobileclinic for more information). The last day of school is May 23. 8th grade promotion and High School graduation will both be celebrated on Friday, May 24.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

The Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Night Hamburger Socials take place the first, second, and third Mondays of each month, the Hall is open from 5:30-8 p.m. for hamburgers, “The Rooster,” hotdogs, or chilidogs, along with fries or onion rings. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the Round Top Rifle Association.
