RT Lighted Christmas Parade Set for Dec. 3

The Round Top Lighted Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3. The yearly parade features lighted floats, food and drinks, live music and shopping around town.

Turkey Trot

Register now for the Round Top Lion’s Club 6th Annual Turkey Trot. The 10K starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 1-mile fun run at 8:15 a.m., and the 5K at 8:30 a.m. Register now for $25 or on the day of the race for $45. Round Top Art Revival

The Saturday following Thanksgiving, Round Top Art Revival will host their second pop-up event at the Round Top Courthouse. Come out from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. for art, music, libations and contemporary art.

Deputy Santa Toy Drive

Fayette County Deputy Santa Program’s Annual Toy Drive begins Nov. 28. A donation box will be at the Stone Cellar for unwrapped toys for children of all ages. If you would like to make a cash or check donation please contact Denise directly at the Cellar at (979) 633-3114. The collection will go through Thursday, Dec. 22.

“Willie” Country Christmas

It’s a “Willie” Country Christmas. Save the date for Saturday, Dec. 10 for a Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings tribute show at the Round Top Dancehall at the Stone Cellar. Details coming.

Frank Martin Gilligan will perform at Busted Oak Cellars on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 4-7 p.m. Danny Everett performs Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2-5 p.m.

Risky Liver will perform at The Stone Cellar Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. The Broken Group is Saturday at 7 p.m., and The Guitar Man perform Sunday at 4 p.m. Next weekend, catch Sean Orr’s Texas Gold Trio on Saturday and Victor Bustos Sunday.

Round Top Rifle Hall

The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social is the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. Festival Hill

The 24thAnnual Theatre Forum at Festival Hill is this weekend. The yearly event features Poems, puns and other surprises led by Ann Thompson, and delicious meals in the Menke House and Menke gardens. The Houston Masterworks Chorus will be at Festival Hill Saturday, Dec. 3. The Houston Masterworks Chorus performs “Rejoice!” as part of Festival Hill’s annual eclectic celebration. Enjoy holiday favorites, ending in a candlelit sing-along of Silent Night. Adults are $30, students are $10.

Round Top Family Library

Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:305:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library will be closed Thursday Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.

27 from 2-4 p.m. Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m.

After School Kids Junior Master Gardner (JMG) meets Wednesdays, from 3:30-5:15 p.m. for fourth through sixth grades.

Chess Club for ages 7 and up meets on Wednesdays from 4-5:15 p.m. Registration for this class is required.

Operation Christmas Child boxes are available at the RTFL and available for pick-up during open hours. Please bring back filled boxes by Nov. 21.

Round Top-Carmine ISD

Students are out the week of Nov. 21 for Fall Break! Students will head back to class on the 28 for three weeks, then have an early dismissal Dec. 16, which is the start of Christmas break.

Historical Society

The 26th Annual Round Top Area Historical Society Christmas Tour of Homes will take place Saturday Dec. 3 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. This is your chance to view seven beautiful properties decorated for Christmas. Tickets may be purchased the week of Thanksgiving from Round Top Real Estate and the Round Top Chamber of Commerce during open business hours or on the day of the event. Tickets can also be purchased the day of tour at the Round Top Historical Campus 397 E. Mill St. (behind the Round Top Post Office) at the RTAHS pavilion. Tickets are $20 each. Winedale

On Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. author Steve Moore will present an online talk entitled “Rangers of the Revolution.” He will discuss the role of the Texas Rangers during the Texas Revolution. E-mail tricia.blakistone@ austin.utexas.edu to get a link to this talk.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly service at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. The next monthly mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 8 a.m.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy Offering is the third Sunday of each month.

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.

Round Top Christian Fellowship Church holds service at 10 a.m.

The City of Refuge Church on 237 in Round Top holds bible study on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. followed by church service at 11 a.m.
