RT Family Library FYI to Host Henry Flowers

The Round Top Family Library FYI welcomes Henry Flowers Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. Flowers is a horticultural and landscape maintenance manager who will be speaking on “Plants that Changed the Course of History”. This talk will take place at the Windale Lecture Room located at 3738 FM 2714. Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m.

Art After School meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Chess Club meets Wednesdays from 3:40-4:45 p.m.

Junior Master Gardener meets Wednesdays 3:30-5 p.m for grades 4-6.

Round Top Rifle Hall

The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Social will now occur the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Round Top Young Farmers Association meeting will be held April 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the RTRH. Holli Tietjen Hale will have a program on Texas Animal Health. BBQ sandwiches will be available.

Round Top-Carmine ISD

Information regarding Pre-K enrollment, Kindergarten Round-Up and new student transfer paperwork is now available on the school’s website at rtcisd.net. Students will be out for the Easter holidays Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18.

Round Top Historical Society

The Round Top Area Historical Society has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. Come view three historical homes and a historical church. Private tours are available. For more information call (979) 249-5058.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Confirmation class is held Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m. Church clean-up day will be Saturday, April 16 at 9 a.m. Please bring buckets,barrels and blowers. The cross will be decorated for Easter that morning at 10 a.m. Please bring flowers. Easter sunrise service will be April 17 at 7 a.m. with a light brunch and egg hunt afterwards.

BLC Bible study met Thursday, April 7. The topic continued with “The Kingdom of God, Looking Into the Future.” Members discussed the lesson and individual ideas. The author’s conclusion stated when God’s rule becomes complete we will find our happy ending and it will never end. Pastor John David led lectio divina from Luke 23: 39-43 and Revelations 21: 1-4. Hostess, Kathly Schatte, displayed a beautiful Easter setting. The next Bible study will be May 5 at 9:30 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy Offering is the third Sunday of each month. Easter Sunday worship will be held at 8:30 a.m. The Western Cluster Gathering will be held Saturday, April 23 beginning with a brunch at 9 a.m. The program will be “Hats off to the Ladies” and everyone is asked to bring something that qualifies as a hat or head covering of any kind.

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. Music is provided by Joey McGee.
