RT-Carmine Education Foundation Annual Small School, Big Hearts Fundraiser Feb. 1

The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation presents their annual “Small School, Big Hearts” celebration Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Enjoy a wonderful dinner of brisket, sausage, and all the trimmings. Tickets are $20 for a plate, either dine-in or to-go. Purchase your tickets at rtceducationfoundation. org, or at local banks or school offices. Sponsored tables of 2, 4, 6, or 8 are still available.

Antique & Design Show Round Top’s Winter Antique & Design Show is happening now. If you aren’t a fan of the huge crowds at the Fall and Winter Show, this one is for you. The same great quality items and amazing vendors as the other shows, but with less people. Just like the bigger shows, there are some great featured events including a special tasty treat at Round Top Ranch Antiques. Stop by to enjoy “glogg” (spiced mulled wine), and “aebelskiver” (warm pastry). This European tradition will warm you up while you shop the largest collection of European ropean antiques at the show. Round Top Ranch Antiques is located at 2545 S Hwy 237 in Round Top.

Festival Hill 

On Saturday, Feb. 8, Festival Hill’s annual Valentines Concert and Bybee Library Reception will take place at the Festival Concert Hall. Enjoy the program, “Timeless Love Songs: From Broadway to Nashville.” Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in the “Adopt-A-Book” and the silent auction. Herbal Forum & Plant Sale The 30th Annual Herbal Forum & Plant Sale opens March 14. Tickets and information can be found at festivalhill. org.

Round Top Family Library Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the library at the annual chili cook-off. It was a “chilly” day for chili, but the participants and guests made it worth it.

There are numerous classes and activities going on at the library. Visit ilovetoread. org/calendar for a full list of events.

Historical Society 

Come and tour the Museum Campus. The RTAHS museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. The campus includes three historic homes and a historical church. Private tours are welcome as well. For information on these, or anything with the Historical Society, call (979) 249-5058.

Town Council 

Regular Council Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall (100 Main Street) unless otherwise posted. Agendas are posted on townofroundtoptexas.org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time. Public posting sites are the message board outside the Town Office, located at 202 North Live Oak Street.

Church News 

There are several options for Worship in our little town. St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin. Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m. St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
