Round Top Wine Fest Set Nov. 1-3

Following the Show’s wrap-up will be the 2024 Round Top Wine Fest on Nov. 1-3. That means even more events going on. Friday, Nov. 1, The Stone Cellar is hosting “Corks & Courses” - a Round Top Wine Fest Dinner. The evening will consist of live music, fine wines, and delicious dining hosted by the Round Top Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are available at roundtop.com/events.

Saturday, Nov. 2 is Busted Oak Cellars 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off. Special contests will be held for the best chili, beans, salsa, and sangria. An art booth will also be set up. Nov. 15-17 is an Art Festival at The Compound. This event welcomes artists from across the nation and showcases fine art from various mediums including painting, sculpture, clay, textile, glass, wood, mixed media, photography, jewelry and more. Round Top-Carmine ISD Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 25-31. Oct. 31 marks the end of Cycle 2, which means students have an early release. Busses will run at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 is a student holiday. Report cards will be sent home and posted to the Parent Portal on Nov. 7.

Fall Antiques Show 

This is the last week for the Fall Antiques and Design Show. The last day is Sunday, Oct. 27.

Mayer Cemetery Association The Mayer Cemetery association will have their annual meeting on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Round Top Real Estate Office, located at 101 N Main Street on the square. Reports will be given on cemetery needs including the mowing and upkeep funds, Mayer Cemetery Association Bylaws revisions, the annual Officer’s election, as well as other items. Festival Hill 

The Round Top Film Festival will take place at Festival Hill Friday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 10. The weekend will have several events around the area. Tickets can be purchased at festivalhill.org or roundtopfilmfest.org.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

Round Top Rifle Hall’s 13th Annual Oktobierfest is Saturday, Oct. 26. Gates open at 11 a.m., followed by the Ceremonial Keg Tapping at 12 p.m. Enjoy Bratwursts, Kassler-style pork chops, schnitzels, German potatoes, sauerkraut and sides. Music until 6 p.m. featuring the Round Top Brass Band, Auf Geht’s and Enzian Buam! Entry is free. Visit roundtoprifle.

Round Top Family Library The library has tons of events held throughout the week for all ages including sewing class, STEM classes, yoga, Preschool story time, Junior Master Gardener, Chess class, Taekwondo, dance and more. These classes are free but do require advance registration.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, Dec. 15, for Christmas in Winedale.

Church News 

Mass at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton are held the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the Altar. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville.com/st-martin.

There will not be a service held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby on Sunday, Oct. 27. Rather the service will be held at Carby Chapel at Lutherhill beginning at 9:30 a.m.

That afternoon Bethlehem Lutheran Church’s annual church picnic will be held 4-7 p.m. back at the church.
