Round Top Summer Antique Shows Wrap Up This Weekend

The summer antique show is going on now through Sunday, June 11. Come to Round Top for great food, beverages, shopping, antiques, live music and more. Explore your favorite year-round stores as well as a few pop-ups along the way.

Over at The Stone Cellar enjoy live music at the Pub on Friday beginning at 7 p.m., and the Risky Liver Band at The Cellar Saturday night.
Friday night is Teacher Appreciation Night at Busted Oak Cellars. From 5 to 8 p.m. Teachers will get their first glass of wine for half the price. Tyler Tillman will take the stage Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. during wine club pick-up.
Round Top Rifle Hall
Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Monday each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. For more information about the Rifle Hall or to book it for upcoming events, visit roundtoprifle. com.
Town of Round Top
Regular Council meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Citizen are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the website at www.townofroundtop. org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time.
Round Top-Carmine ISD
The school has several sport’s camp options to keep the kids busy over the summer.
June 5 to July 14 is Strength and Conditioning. June 5 to July 14 is Volleyball and Basketball skill work. Sunday, June 25, there will be a performance of “A Patriot’s Heart” at 2 p.m. This performance traces the history of the American spirit and will feature professional actress and author, Mary Margaret Mann, with Vicki Sue Wehmeyer accompanying. Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library is open Monday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday– Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here’s a look at the free programs offered by the library during the month of June: Yoga in the library takes place every Monday at 5 p.m., Preschool story time is on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m., Chess Club is on Wednesdays at 1 p.m., Family Game Day is Saturday, June 10 at 2 p.m., Homeschool Playdate is June 21 at 10 a.m., and “Snake Man” Clint Pustejovsky will be at the library June 22 at 4 p.m.
Saturday, June 17 there will be a sewing workshop to teach kids how to make their own pillowcase. The class is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free class does require registration.
A free adult photography class is scheduled for Monday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring your camera or phone and learn how to take better photos.
RTFL is teaming up with the Fayette County Community Theatre for a summer theater program with instructor Melissa Weltner. This is for kids ages 10 and up. The group will meet Mondays and Wednesdays in June and July from 2:30 to 5 p.m., excluding June 1-9, and July 1-7. Registration required.
Sons of Hermann Round Top The next meeting for the Round Top Sons of Hermann will be held June 28.
Historical Society

Festival Hill
The Opening Chamber Music Concerts will be Saturday, June 10 at 3:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. The Master Class for this week is as follows: Roger Myers playing the viola Monday at 1:30 p.m., Regis Pasquier on the violin Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Maura McCune Corvington on French horn Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Nancy Ambrose King on the oboe Thursday at 1:30 p.m., Viktor Valvov on piano Friday at 1:30 p.m., and Musicpainting Ensemble Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m.
BLC monthly Bible study was held Thursday, June 1. Pastor Nedbalek led a discussion on “salvation now”; Jesus is active in every present moment. All are called to serve Jesus in the “now” of life. Passages from the Bible on Jesus healing the disabled man near the pool, and turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana were read. God is a God of health, healing and wholeness. Kathy Schatte served as hostess. The next meeting will be July 6. All are welcome.
Bible School will be shared with Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. “Stellar: Shine Jesus’ Light” will take place Sunday, June 11 – Thursday, June 15 from 5:30-7:45 p.m. Participants ages preschool through elementary age are invited. Register at http:// mllccarmine.com/vbs-2023/.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee and Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy Offering is the third Sunday of each month.
