Round Top Rifle Hall to Host Movie Nights
Enjoy a free movie at the Rifle Hall. The Round Top Lion’s Club is hosting five movie nights in conjunction with hamburger night at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Buy a burger meal and enjoy a free movie. Movies begin at 6:30 p.m.
The first movie night is scheduled for June 6 and will feature Clifford the Big Red Dog. June 11 enjoy Sing 2.
Round Top Rifle Hall
The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social is the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. The last Wednesday of each month, Blue Mule Winery hosts Red’s Terrific Trivia from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Come out to win prizes, trophies and make new friends! Teams welcome.

Summer Antique Show
The Round Top Summer Show is this weekend. This is a much smaller version of the Spring and Fall show, but still worth the visit. Participating vendors include Campbell Building, Carmine Trading Post, The Compound, County Line Antique Show, Grace’s Treasure Hunt, Granny McCormick’s Yard + Java Love Bus Coffee Shop, McCall Style, McLaren’s Antqiues & Interiors, Oak Hill Trading Company, Round Top Vintage Market, Unique Antiques and Yellow Barn Antiques. The year-round businesses in Henkel Square, Bybee Square and Round Top Village will also be open for shoppers as well.
VFD Fundraiser
Round Top-Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department raffle fundraiser is going on now. Purchase your raffle tickets for $20 each and win great prizes. The drawing will be held June 9, you do not need to be present to win. A limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets may be purchased at Round Top Real Estate, Round Top Service Station, Round Top Mercantile, Round Top Farm & Ranch, PawPaw’s Cafe, Carmine State Bank, Round Top State Bank, Electric Motor Service in La Grange, or from any RTW VFD firefighter.
Festival Hill
The 51st Annual Round Top Music Festival Young Artists in Residence begins Sunday, June 5. Students will arrive at Festival Hill to begin a several weekslong musical event with the close on July 17.
Master Class performances will kick-off Tuesday, June 7 at 1:30 p.m. Professional musicians will be featured each day through July 16. This week’s featured performer’s include Dmitry Kouzov on the Cello, Regis Pasquier on the violine, James VanDemark on the double bass, Alexa Still on the flute. The Opening Chamber Music Program will be held Saturday, June 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall. Art Class
A three-day art course will be offered June 11-13 at The White House on the Hill in Burton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Artists Michael Dowling and Annie DeCamp will host a three-day exploration of collage and the evolution of collage mixing with traditional art. This course is perfect for artists who want to expand their use of media or take more risks in their work, as well as the novice looking for a weekend getaway. Round Top Family Library
Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m. A low-impact strength training class meets Wednesdays at 10 a.m. during May and June. Please bring light weights for this class.
Summer Chess Club is for ages 7 through adults. They meet every Wednesday in June and July from 2 to 3 p.m. The Kids S.E.E. summer program kicks-off this Tuesday. These classes are free and focus on science, cooking, arts and gardening. This program is offered to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Round Top-Carmine ISD
RT-C ISD offers several options for camp throughout the summer. The Band Program is for grades 5-12. Text rtcband512 to 81010 for more information and to stay updated throughout the school year.
Basketball Camp is July 11-13 for grades 2-5 is 9-10:30 a.m., grades 6-8 is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and grades 9-12 is 2-4 p.m. Cost is $50. Registration deadline is June 30.
Volleyball Camp is July 27- 29. Grades 2-5 is from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., grades 6-8 is 12:30-2:30 p.m., and grades 9-12 is 3-6 p.m. Registration deadline is June 30.
Summer Skill Work is for incoming 7-12 grades only. Session 1 will be held Mondays through Fridays, June 6 through July 22 from 9 to 10 a.m. Session 2 will be held Monday through Thursdays, June 6 through July 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. Athletes may attend 1 session per day. This is free and there is no registration deadline.
Strength and Conditioning for incoming 7-12 graders will be held in two sessions. Session 1 is Mondays through Fridays, June 6 through July 22 from 8-9 a.m. Session 2 is Mondays through Thursdays, June 6 through July 21 from 4–5 p.m. Athletes may attend 1 session per day. This is free and there is no registration deadline.

Sons of Hermann
A regular meeting of the Hermann Sons Life Lodge 151 was called to order by President, Lila Garlin on May 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Round Top, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
Minutes were read and approved. 19 members and one guest, Barnell Albers, were present.
Mary Rauch gave the Treasurer’s report and reported there are 70 Junior members and 436 Adult members. The total insurance coverage is $5,620,780.
Linda presented the agent’s report; a location is still being determined for the Country Store. She will contact Lana Limmer about potentially utilizing Ledbetter for the next location.
Prayers were offered for Floyd Braun, as well as all those affected in Uvalde. It was decided that individual donations with a card would be better as well as a check from the lodge.
Lila reported on the convention, which is held every 4 years, as well as the new board members.
The retirement home, which is available to any policy holder, which has been active for at least three years, has a new fee of $2,000 for room and board annually. There are currently 20 people utilizing this home.
The lodge was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for meeting the new member goal. Lila presented agent, Linda Mattocks, an arrangement of flowers for her hard work.
Happy birthday was sung to Lila Garlin and Dwight Nittschke. Anniversary wishes were sent out to Barnell and LaVerne Albers of their 60th Anniversary on April 28.
The next meeting will be held June 23. Guests are asked to wear red, white and blue for flag day on June 14. Jeanette Schoenst will present the program. A hot meal will be served for dinner, members are asked to bring dessert.
Attendance prizes were awarded to LaVerne Albers, Margie Stardig, Bob Porter, Jeanette Schoenst and Mary Rauch.
Lunch, refreshments and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
