The 10th Annual OktoBierFest at the Round Top Rifle Hall will be Saturday, Oct. 22 beginning at noon. Hosted by the Round Top Schützen Verein, this event kicks-off with official Keg Tapping taking place at noon. Join for an afternoon full of quality German biers, delicious kassler, wurst and kraut, and a free concert under the pavillion.
Local Events
The last Wednesday of each month, Blue Mule Winery hosts Red’s Terrific Trivia from 6:308:30 p.m. Come out to win prizes, trophies and make new friends. Teams welcome. Trey Yenger will perform at Busted Oak Cellars Saturday, Oct. 8 from 4-7 p.m. Danielle Reich will perform Sunday, Oct. 9 from 2-5 p.m. A jewelry making class will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. $30 per person. Come out to The Vintage Hideaway Saturday, Oct. 8 for a Tailgate Party for the TAMU vs. Alabama and UT vs. OU football games. A cornhole tournament starts at noon. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share. The party starts at 11 a.m. Texas Casual Cottages annual Classic Car Show will be Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register your classic car for a $20 fee by calling (979) 337-8239. The annual Fall Show kicks off Thursday, Oct. 13. Several vendors will be hosting special events throughout the show.
The Stone Cellar is currently closed for renovations, but the new owners expect to reopen before the fall antique show. A soft opening is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Royers Round Top Café and Prisoner Wine Company are hosting a dinner at The Halles Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com.
Texas Casual Cottages on Highway 237 will be hosting a Market Oct. 22-30. Saturday, Oct. 22 the Tré gallery will host a launch party with Autism Rescue Angels. The “Giving Back” event will be from 6-8 p.m. at 105 W. Austin St, Suite B in Round Top. Enjoy champagne and light bites. 100 percent of profits from ceramic artist pieces created for the organization will be donated.
Marburger Farm Antique Show will be Oct. 25-29. General admission tickets are $15. Early admission tickets are $40. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with tents opening at 9 a.m. General admission tickets will be accepted starting at 2 p.m. on opening day and last for the remainder of the week.
Hamburger Social
The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social is the first through third Monday of each month.The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m.
Festival Hill
Enjoy a special concert, “Octoberfest-Piano Under the Stars” Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Clayton House Porch featuring James Dick. Gates open at 5:45 p.m., concert begins at 6:30 p.m. The evening will consist of porch seating, fancy hors d’oeuvres and wine. The Texas Gentlemen with Frankie Leonie are performing in the Concert Hall benefiting The James Dick Foundation For The Performing Arts Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. There will be a Party on the Plaza following the concert until 11 p.m. Light bites and two drinks come with each ticket.
Nutcracker Ballet
Tickets for Festival Hill’s annual Nutcracker Ballet are for sale on the website. This year’s performance will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4-6 p.m. This year’s production celebrates the 14th annual performance danced by Ovation Ballet Company. Round Top Family Library
Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:305:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m. After School Kids Junior Master Gardner (JMG) meets Wednesdays, from 3:30-5:15 p.m. for fourth through sixth grades. Chess Club for ages 7 and up meets on Wednesdays from 4-5:15 p.m. Registration for this class is required. A Situational Awarentess class will be held Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2-3 p.m. Reduce your risk of becoming a victim! This class is free and for men and women ages 15 and up. Please bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair. Operation Christmas Child boxes are available at the RTFL and available for pick-up during open hours. Please bring back filled boxes by Nov. 21.
Round Top-Carmine ISD
RT-C students have a school holiday Monday, Oct. 10. Picture retakes for the Elementary students will be Thursday, Oct. 13.A public hearing on financial accountability will be Monday, Oct. 17 from 6-6:30 p.m. at the RT-C Elementary School. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss RTC’s “Superior Achievement” rating on the state’s financial accountability system.
Saturday, Oct. 29 there will be a Fall Festival at the Elementary School from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy a kids costume parade, high school entertainment, kids carnival, raffle and silent auction. Fajita plates are $15, hot dogs are $3 and desserts are for a free-will donation. All proceeds benefit students and staff. This event is sponsored by the RTC Parent’s Club.
Historical Society
The RTAHS museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m.
Hermann Sons
Hermann Sons Life Lodge 151 will not meet in October. The November meeting is Nov. 17 and Dec. 11 will be the Christmas party.

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. The RoundTopAnimal Blessing will take place Sunday, Oct. 9 from 4-6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and your pet (in a carrier or on a leash please.)
