The Round Top Area Historical Society is beginning to collect items for the annual garage sale in February. If you have items you would like to donate, please call (281) 6108274. Items may be dropped off any Sunday or Monday, or if you have several items to donate, a pickup may be coordinated. Tax credit receipts will be given upon delivery.

Round Top-Carmine ISD The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation’s annual Small School, Big Hearts fundraiser was a great success. Thank you to the community and supporters for coming out and supporting our school.

Students will have an early release on Friday, Feb. 14, and a school holiday that following Monday, Feb. 17. Report cards will be sent home and/or posted to the Parent Portal on Feb. 20.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

Spend your Monday night at the Rifle Hall. A hamburger social is held the first, second, and third Mondays of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the RTRH.

Festival Hill 

The annual Valentine’s Concert and Bybee Library Reception in the Festival Concert Hall is this Saturday, Feb. 8. James Dick will perform a piano recital on Saturday, March 8. The 30th Annual Herbal Forum & Plant Sale will open Friday, March 14. Robert Earl Keen will perform in the Festival Concert Hall Friday, April 11.

Round Top Family Library 

Feel more confident using your iPhone, The library is hosting a free iPhone class for beginners on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. This class is open to the public.

The library has several great class options throughout the week. Sewing and yoga classes are held each Monday, yoga and preschool story-time are on Wednesdays, Thursdays are Taekwondo classes, and Family Game Day is held every second Saturday at 10 a.m. For more information on these classes, or to register, visit ilovetoread.org, or call the library at (979) 249-2700.

Round Top Town Council 

Regular Council Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall (100 Main Street) unless otherwise posted. Agendas are posted on townofroundtoptexas.org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time. Public posting sites are the message board outside the Town Office, located at 202 N. Live Oak St.

Church News 

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin. Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m. St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
