The April calendar at the library is full. Classes like yoga, art, chess, taekwondo and ballet are offered throughout the week at various times. Contact the library to register for any of these at (979) 2492700.

The Turtle Wing Family Picnic will be Sunday, April 6 from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy indoor board games, outdoor yard games, and lots of delicious goodies. RSVP to cynthia@turtlewingfoundation.org.

Friday, April 11 is the Barn Quilt Square Class with Instructor Zadra Morgan. Participants will paint a one-foot Barn Quilt Square. Pictures are representative of what you will create, choosing your own paint colors. Registration is required. This class is for adults 18 and up.

Family game day is Saturday, April 12 from 1-3 p.m.

An acoustic jam session led by Louie Sellers will be Saturday, April 19. Slow Jam for beginner and immediate players will be 10-11 a.m. Open jam for experienced players is 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m.

Open Mic Poetry Night is set for Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. This event is open to young and adult poets as well as emerging and established writers. A reception will follow, sponsored by the Round Top Family Library Book Club.

Spring Antiques Show 

This is the last weekend of the Spring Antique and Design Show. If you haven’t made your way to Round Top yet, now is the time.

Winedale 

This month’s Winedale Zoom Talk: Brass Bands & Bullseyes: German-Texans and their Schuetzenverein Traditions. Join the staff of Monu-Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites on Thursday, April 17 at noon, as they share the history of German-Texan Schützenvereine, or marksmanship clubs. These clubs became community centers for German immigrants and their neighbors to compete in target shooting, celebrate holidays, dance to German music, and gather as a community. Staff will highlight the history of the Bluff Schuetzenverein which once made its home on the grounds of present-day Monument Hill and inspired the sites’ annual Bluff SchuetzenFest in May. Shakespeare at Winedale

Round Top Rifle Hall 

Enjoy burgers the first, second, and third Mondays of each month. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the RTRH.

Festival Hill 

Enjoy Poetry at Round Top April 23-25 as part of the August to April Series. The weekend will include Time to Write, Portfolio Consultations, several optional workshops, panel discussion several featured readings and more.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church 

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church 

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. You can also watch the service on their YouTube channel found at https://tinyurl.com/yc77f2vj beginning at 9:30 a.m. Lenten service at BLC will be Wednesday, April 9.

April 12 is a church workday beginning at 9 a.m. Please bring blowers, rakes, and garden tools.

Maundy Thursday service will be April 17 at 7 p.m., and Good Friday Service will also be at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at 9 a.m. the outdoor cross will be decorated with flowers. Please bring your own flowers if you would like to help. Easter Sunday Sunrise service will be at 7 a.m. under the oaks. A light brunch and Easter Egg hunt will follow the Easter service.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Maundy Thursday service will be April 17 at 5:30 p.m. Easter Sunday service will be at 8:30 a.m.

St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday Worship is at 8:30 a.m. If members would like to help beautify the altar with Easter lilies or other spring flowers, they will need to be dropped off at the church by 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. A Wednesday Lenten services will be April 9 with a 6 p.m. dinner. The evening will cover the Apostle’s Creed.

RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study,

followed by a 10 a.m. service.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Observe Holy Week at St. Cecilia’s with special guest preacher and presenter, Olivia Davies, Anglican Ordinand from Cambridge, England. Palm Sunday, April 13, will feature Davies at both services. Tuesday, April 15, the Women of St. Cecilia’s will gather for a one-day retreat at Farmstead Round Top with Davies presenting “The Women of Holy Week”. Registration is required. Maundy Thursday service will be April 17 at 5:45 p.m. Good Friday service is April 18 at 5:45 p.m. Celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus at the historic Round Top Dance Hall on Sunday, April 20 at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
