Round Top Library Hosting Safety Training
The Library’s calendar is full for the month of June. Mondays: Yoga at 5 p.m.; Tuesdays: Falling is not an option at 7:30 a.m.; Wednesdays: Yoga at 9 a.m., Story Time at 10 a.m.; Thursdays: Mahjong at 12:30 p.m., Taekwondo at 5:15 p.m.; Fridays: Falling is not an option at 7:30 a.m.
Additionally, there is a Safety Training scheduled for Tuesday, June 3 from 10 a.m.5 p.m. This will include CPR, AED Instruction, Stop the Bleed and First Aid. Registration is required.
FYI presents…Norman Reynolds, the “Log Cabin” Lawyer from Round Top. Reynolds is an avid military historian and will be speaking about D-Day. This talk will be Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m.

Fun at Busted Oak Cellars Kick-off summer at Busted Oak Cellars with burgers and bingo on Friday evening, May 30. Enjoy live music Saturday from 4-7 p.m.
RT-Warrenton VFD Grab your raffle tickets at multiple locations in and around Round Top, or by contacting any fire department member. The raffle drawing will be held June 26.
Historical Society
Come and tour the museum campus – take a look at three historical homes and a historical church. The RTAHS museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. Private tours are also welcome. For more information call (979) 249-5058.
Round Top Rifle Hall
Come out for hamburger night every first, second, and third Monday of the month. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Rifle Hall.
Festival Hill
Enjoy live music every day at Festival Hill. This Master Class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first come, first serve basis. These performances are held Tuesday – Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Edythe Bates Old Chapel. Tuesday, June 3 - Régis Pasquier, violin; Wednesday, June 4 - Carol Wincenc, flute; Thursday, June 5 - James VanDemark, double bass; Friday, June 6 - John Kitzman, trombone. Saturday, June 7 features a Season Opening Chamber Music Concert in the Festival Concert Hall at 3:30 p.m., at the Texas Festival Orchestra’s Season Opening Concert at 7:30 p.m. For more information on the summer’s events visit festivalhill. org.
St. Martin’s Catholic Church St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. The next service will be Tuesday, June 3. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. You can also watch the service on their YouTube channel found at https://tinyurl.com/yc77f2vj at 9:30 a.m.
St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran
St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.
Saturday Morning Bible Study is open to all and meets every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at John Burkland’s Barn loated at 6924 Wied Road. The study is available via Zoom beginning at 8 a.m. The women gather for bible study the third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. Locations rotate between Fayetteville and Rutersville, so check the calendar or call the office for details. SLM Day Camp is June 16 – 20, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Breakfast and snack are provided. Registration information can be found in the online bulletin.
RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.
St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s Episcopal Church in Round Top, meets in Haw Creek Chapel, located in Henkel Square, Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Hermann Sons
Round Top Hermann Sons Life met for their regular business meeting on May 22 at the American Legion Hall with a great attendance and a visitor from France. Linda Mattocks, President, called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. All the officers were present.
Linda presented her agent’s report. It was announced that the Shelby lodge will be joining the Round Top lodge. This will need to be voted unanimously three times with the name Round Top-Shelby Hermann Sons Life lodge. Meetings will continue to be held with the Round Top lodge.
Melanie Rauch, community coordinator, presented the list of birthdays and Mothers’ Day cards sent. Pearlie Wagner, Roy Wied, Lila Garlin and Dwight Nittsche had May birthdays; Happy birthday was sung. To coordinate our monetary donations, the committee of Lila Garlin, Betty Porter and Myrt Meinkowsky were chosen. The presentation to Ray Ullrich for his 70-year pin was the highlight of the evening.
Attendance prizes were won by Valgene Ebner, Margie Stardig, Betty Porter, Ray Ullrich and Todd Stardig. The door prize won by Linda was presented to Lila for her birthday. Thanks to Linda for sharing fresh vegetables. A delicious lunch, refreshments and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
