Round Top Christmas Homes Tour this Weekend
This weekend is a big one in Round Top. There are several great activities going on to kick-off the Christmas season!
The 26th Annual Round Top Historical Society’s Christmas Tour of Homes is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. View six beautiful properties decorated in all their Christmas glory! Tickets can be purchased the day of the tour at the R.T.A.H.S. campus located at 397 E. Mill Street, behind the Round Top post office. Tickets are $20 each. Tickets can also be purchased online at rtahs.com.
Beginning at 3 p.m., enjoy several festivities around the Town Square while supporting our local groups. A Stew and Book Walk will be hosted by the Library, Royer’s will have chicken and dumplings, the Coffee Shop will have coffee and hot chocolate, Busted Oak Cellars will have several wine choices available for purchase, and the DYD Club will have cookies, ornaments, and a visit from Santa.
The Lighted Parade begins at 6:45 p.m., and afterwards enjoy live music with the Black Cat Choir at The Stone Cellar, and Christmas Karaoke at Duo Market Hill.
Round Top-Carmine ISD The Elementary student’s musical performance will be at Carmine Hall on Dec. 3 from 1 to 2 p.m. Homecoming is scheduled for Dec. 8. The Winter Band Concert at Festival Hill will be Dec. 14 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Early release for Christmas break will be Friday, Dec. 15 at 12:30 p.m. Students will be out of school until Monday, Jan. 8.

Winedale
Christmas at Winedale will be Saturday, Dec. 9, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be crafts and folklife demonstrations, music and theater performances, food and beverages, and more. This event is free. Winedale is located at 3738 FM 2714, Round Top and the phone number is (979)278-3530.
Round Top Rifle Hall
The Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Mondays each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.
RT-C 4H will meet at the Hall Thursday, Dec. 7, and the Round Top Young Farmers will meet Thursday, Dec. 14.

Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library offers several different free classes for a variety of ages throughout the week. For a full list and times for the classes, visit ilovetoread.org.
The Round Top Family Library’s Christmas Extravaganza is Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be Christmas treats, game booths, music, and Santa himself will be there for photos! This is free and open to the public. Contact the library if you would like to sponsor a booth.

Festival Hill
The annual performance of The Nutcracker Ballet is Saturday, Dec. 9. Also in December, the Sounds of the Season concert, held Friday, Dec. 15. Tickets available online.
Town Council
The Round Top Town Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the website at www.townofroundtop. org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time.
Church News
St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly service at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. The next Mass service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12. View the bulletin online at stjohnfayetteville. com for more information.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Pastor John David leads adult bible study the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
