Rotary Club Supports Hands of Hope

Every weekend, dozens of La Grange school children go home to a situation of food insecurity. Thanks to Hands of Hope, they take with them a bag filled with healthy and nutritious ready-toeat food items. Members of the La Grange Rotary Club board surround Karissa Kocian, who heads up Hands of Hope, to present $1,500 to the program. Every dollar received goes for food and only for food, Kocian said. Not even the paper sacks get bought from donated dollars. Volunteers pack the meals each week at the La Grange Church of Christ.
