Out and About

Terry and Rynie Robertson enjoyed a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They enjoyed dinner dancing and venturing out to “Lands End’ on a Sunset cruise. They delighted in worshiping our Creator and marveling at all they saw while on their trip. They also took a copy of the Fayette County Record along to make sure they marked the occasion.

Devon Boehnke, Dana and Darrell Kulak enjoyed a visit from Devon’s eldest daughter and her husband, Beth and Jack Field from Magnolia. Beth and Jack got in on some of the ranch maintenance while down for the weekend. Clay and Jennifer Rightmer travelled for the Baylor University Homecoming game and a chance to catch up with daughter Lane Rightmer.

Kathy and Frank Chlumsky enjoyed having their granddaughter, Olivia Williams, for a few days recently. She kept the grandparents busy and learned a little about life in the country like checking fences and feeding the donkeys. Olivia had a blast helping. She also spent a little time in the kitchen baking Grandpa Frank a cake. When she went home, she started planning her next visit to the country.

James and I took off for the Sporting Clay National Shoot in San Antonio to visit family. Patty and John Keaton and friend Russell Hanks came in from Brawley, California, to participate in this national shoot. John and Russell have been shooting partners for years and enjoy their annual trip out to San Antonio. James joined the guys on their rounds on Tuesday, while Patty and I toured the local quilt shops. We all enjoyed some great food prior to James and I heading back to Muldoon.

Rain Muldoon received some much needed rain on Monday night, into early Tuesday morning. Along with the rain came some very strong winds that rattled the trees. Three quarters inch to an inch were reported in and around the area.

This was some much needed moisture. All the rain soaked in and brought cooler morning temperatures. Mornings have been in the forties, and have meant breaking out the sweaters and light jackets.

Christmas Craft Class It’s not too late to sign up for the upcoming Christmas Holiday Craft Party. Contact Karen Jacobs at (281) 682-5625 either by call or text for more information or to sign up and save your spot. The party will be on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 4-7 p.m. at the Muldoon Fellowship Center (formally the Muldoon Methodist Church building).

This will be a chance to visit with area ladies all while making some fun and creative crafts. There will be personal instruction and all the supplies will be provided. Here’s the chance to get away and have a little “girl fun.” Cost is $40 for the supplies and instruction. It will be a fun and laughter filled time for everyone.

The added bonus is you will go home with three nice crafted items that you can keep for yourself or maybe gift it to someone you know will appreciate your beautiful item.
