    Roads Flood in Muldoon Area

The Muldoon area has seen over 10 inches of rain in three days. Flooding is all across the area. Do not cross flooded roadways. Not only could you wash off the road, but there could be road damage you can’t see under the water stranding you in your vehicle.

Ranchers in the area are feeding and are out on the roads in all of the weather keeping their herds fed. Slow down on the slick roads and give them some room to maneuver when they have to move hay or feed.

Davis Obituary

Helen Marie Haydel-Davis passed away at home on Dec. 28. A memorial service was held on Sunday, Jan. 14, just five days prior to what would have been her 66th birthday, at Fayette Memorial Chapel in La Grange. Helen is survived by her daughters Lauren Wetjen and Candice Wetjen; granddaughters Haylee Maurine Schultz and Nola Lee Bledsoe; and siblings, Linda Haydel-Baker and Gerald Haydel.

Helen enjoyed stain glass, painting, adventures hunting and spending time with her family especially her beloved granddaughters, who will miss her terribly. She helped with Texas EquuSearch in search in rescue for years. This was after losing a dear loved one Lloyd Kolbe in 1996 in Baja Mexico.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Dusty Davis; her parents Maurine Spafford and James Hubert Haydal; sisters, Patty Jarard, and Bonnie French; and brother Jimmy Haydel.
