Reverend Winkler Honored In Cistern

Rev. Eddie Winkler was honored with a farewell gathering at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Parish in Cistern on Sunday, April 21. He is being transferred to Hostyn and Plum Parishes on June 1. The social hour, which began at 5 p.m. was followed by a barbecue brisket and chicken meal.

St. Elizabeth KJZT Society No. 20 provided the dessert, two-flavored cake and cupcakes. Random parishioners spoke on gratefulness for Fr. Eddie’s welcoming way, thoughtful implementation of special services, his eloquent, meaningful homiletics, and sentiments that he will not be forgotten. Fr. Eddie expressed his appreciation of SSC&M’s always-ready assistance with regular services and seasonal tasks. The evening of food, family, and visiting was enjoyed by all. Darlene Ermis, Laura Grudziecki and Pat Montgomery coordinated the event.
