Registration Open for RT Turkey Trot

Lighted Christmas Parade Not to step on the Turkey’s toes, but a little Christmas news for you – Round Top’s Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2. Enjoy a lighted float parade, food, drinks, live music, and shopping around the town.

Round Top-Carmine ISD Students have one more week before Fall Break. There will be no school Monday, Nov. 20-Friday, Nov. 24.

RT-C Education Foundation The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation awarded the innovative teacher grants for Fall 2023.

Round Top Rifle Hall

The Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Mondays each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library offers several different free classes for a variety of ages throughout the week. For a full list and times for the classes, visit ilovetoread. org. The library will be closed Nov. 23-26 for Thanksgiving.

The next Family Game Day is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11 from 2-5 p.m.

Operation Christmas Child boxes are available at the Round Top Family Library! Come by the library Monday-Saturday during library hours to pick up a shoe box. Once you have filled the box, bring it back to the library by Nov. 16.

The 26th Annual Theatre Forum will be held Friday, Nov. 17-Sunday, Nov. 19. Tickets are available at festivalhill. org.

The annual performance of The Nutcracker Ballet is Saturday, Dec. 9. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Also in December, the Sounds of the Season concert, held Friday, Dec. 15. Tickets available online.

Town Council

The Round Top Town Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted.

Winedale

Christmas at Winedale will be Saturday, Dec. 9, noon-4 p.m. There will be crafts and folklife demonstrations, music and theater performances, food and beverages, and more. This event is free. Winedale is located at 3738 FM 2714.

Church News

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly service at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. Please note there is no Mass scheduled for October.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Pastor John David leads adult bible study the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.

There will be no classes for the Crossroads Confirmation Ministry during December. Notice will be given later of the schedule of classes after the new year begins in January.

Council Meeting is set for Sunday, Nov. 12 following worship service. Noisy offering will be Sunday, Nov. 19. Thankoffering Service will be Nov. 19. Thanksgiving Eve Service will be Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
