Record Visits Cambodia
Tim and Christine Seubert journeyed from Muldoon up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The Mekong River is over 3,000 miles long and flows from the Tibetan Plateau at over 15,000 ft. down to the Mekong Delta in Vietnam southwest of Saigon. At Phnom Penh the river is about ¾ mile wide. The Khmer Empire was founded at Angkor Wat around 800 AD and after the collapse of the Empire, in 1431, the Khmer capital moved 200 miles to the south to the present-day Phnom Penh area.
