Quilt Guild Happenings

Trunk Show and Program Workshop was hosted by Laura Piland, owner of Slice of Pi Quilts from Smithville, Missouri. Her Trunk Show is titled “Try Something New” with over 70 quilts in her trunk! Laura explained her various techniques and tricks when constructing a quilt from fabric to binding. Laura Piland also gave an “Exploding Heart” and “FlutterFly” workshop the next day with hints and tips that she’s learned along the way. Some pre-work was needed for this workshop. The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl Street, Room A East, La Grange, TX 78945. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. Our meetings are always open to the public, so grab a friend and come learn more about this wonderful service organization right here in La Grange.
