Poker Tournament Saturday

The Fayetteville 4-H and FFA Show Fund will host a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament this Saturday night at Heh Remember When in Fayetteville. Sign up is from 6-7 p.m. There’s a $40 buy in. South American Wine Dinner The Wine Bar at the Grand Fayette Hotel is featuring a South American Wine Dinner this Saturday night at 6 p.m. For the menu, go to their Facebook page. Call Chef George at (979) 716-6988 for reservations. Seating is limited.

Airplane Band Show 

Join the Airplane Band musicians Mason Dykowski, Alvin Minarcik, Franklin Hruska, and Josh Gertson for some country, rock, blues, Czech, German, and Cajun tunes on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 7:30-11 p.m. at Heh Remember When.

Couthouse Music Series The Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series is back on for all of October. Jimmy Davis is kicking it off this Tuesday, Oct 1. This free music series is held every Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. on the square. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinner, or bring your to-go dinner from one of three Fayetteville dining venues.

Photography Exhibit 

Members of the Live Oak Camera Club, including several Fayetteville residents, have captured a vibrant display of narratives in the photography exhibit, “The Way We See It,” on display at the Nesbitt Memorial Library in Columbus. The exhibit is only available for viewing until the end of October.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
