On Pointe Competes at Dance Showcase 2024 USA National Championship

Students from On Pointe Studio and Events traveled to Tyler the week of June 24-30 to perform their 20 dances at the National Competition Dance Showcase USA. On Pointe competed with 44 studios from Texas and Oklahoma. It was not only memorable but also a successful week for On Pointe.

On Pointe Studio won the All American Award for the highest scoring studio. Not just a title, but also an $8,000 scholarship from Lamar University. On Pointe won multiple Pinnacle Awards for the highest scoring dances and also a Choreography Award, as well as a Judges Choice Award.

All the groups from On Pointe were invited to perform at the Grand Showcase USA.

In the beginning of the week, soloists and duets took the stage:

Lillie Posas (Weimar) - 1st ballet category for age 7-8, 12th overall.

Audrey Pietsch (La Grange) - 1st ballet category for age 9, 14th overall.

Cate Hooper (Schulenburg) - 1st ballet category for age 10, 18th overall.

Quinn DeLaRosa (Sweet Home) - 2nd ballet category for age 11, 17th overall.

Raiden Jalufka (Hallettsville) - 2nd ballet category for age 12.

Mia Westfall (Weimar) 1st in ballet category for age 13-14.

Layla Pietsch (La Grange) 1st in pointe category for age 15-16.

Kamryn Kelly (Muldoon) 1st in pointe category, 1st in contemporary category, age 15-16, 1st National winner and 2nd at Grand Showcase USA.

Audrey Pietsch and Thomas Gorman - 1st in ballet for age 9-10, 7th overall.

Stassney Ahrens (Schulenburg) and Raiden Jalufka (Hallettsville) - 1st in ballet for age 12, 1st overall National winners, 2nd in Grand Showcase USA.

Groups

Age 4 and under ballet group: Gwen Skinner, Shea Stafford, Blayre Bacak, Scarlett Posas, Kate Muras, Juniper Yi - 1st in ballet and 1st overall National winners.

Mini Elite group, age 5-6: Kayelynn Truchard, Charlotte Stafford, Bailey Tousek, Blayke Bacak, Sara-May Barnett, Margot Machac, Bettye Langhoff, Adaline Appelt, Lillian Skinner, Elyse Muras, Lillie Posas - 1st in ballet category, 1st in tap category, Ballet 3rd overall and tap routine 1st overall National winners, 2nd in Grand Showcase USA.

Petite Elite group, age 7-8: Lane Schiffli, Audrey Pietsch, Audrie Jasek, Thomas Gorman, Madison Patlovany, Danica Vega, Sydney Lann, Payton Poli, Bryson Langhoff - 1st in ballet category, 1st in tap category, 3rd overall with tap routine and 1st overall National winners, 2nd in Grand Showcase USA.

Junior Elite, group age 11: Stassney Ahrens, Cate Hooper, Kayden Chrismon, Raiden Jalufka, Hannah Anderson, Mia Westfall, Blayke Miller, Logan Lann, Quinn DeLaRosa, Danica Vega - 1st in ballet category, 1st in tap category; 2nd overall with ballet dance and 1st overall National winners with tap dance. They secured their 1st place at Grand Showcase USA.

Teen Elite, age 15-16: Mia Westfall, Sophia Mick, Sarah Grace Glasscock, Marybeth Krischke, Gracie Malinovsky, Layla Pietsch, Kamryn Kelly, Brinson Huette - 1st in ballet, 1st in tap category, 2nd overall with ballet dance and at the Grand Showcase USA, they placed 3rd.

On Pointe is in its 6th year in business and has been a competitive studio for five years. On Pointe is proud to offer not only competitive elite programs for ages 5-18, but also recreational programs for ages 2-18, adult fitness classes, and Taekwondo.
