Plein Air ‘Paint-Out’ This Saturday in Fayetteville
Arts for Rural Texas presents Plein Air Perspectives: A Texas Trio, featuring the captivating works of Julie Sanderson, Kathy Hammond and Lisette McClung.
The exhibition showcases plein air painting inspired by the trio’s adventures across Texas. The art of painting “en plein air” means to paint “in the open” (or outdoors) and has become synonymous with French impressionist painters.
If you’re interested in painting with the talented trio, join them for a community plein air paint-out this Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon on Fayetteville’s square. Bring your supplies and paint along them or sit back and observe the creative process. Artists of all ages and media are welcome to attend. Then join in the artists’ reception and exhibition opening on Sunday, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at ARTS Ross Gallery in the square.
