Play Halloween Bingo in Ellinger Saturday

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Bingo event on Saturday, Oct. 29. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the games get underway at 6 p.m. There will be fifteen regular games with a $100 payout for each. Additionally there will be two $500 Jackpot games. Hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, delicious desserts, and cold refreshments will also be served.

A costume contest will be held in addition to the games. Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy the fun.

Livestock Judging Participants Hayleigh Pizzitola and Brylee Brugger of Ellinger participated in the Brazoria County Fair Livestock Judging contest on Saturday, Oct. 22. Individually, Brylee placed fifth, and Hayleigh placed eighth in the junior division. Their team, consisting of Brylee, Hayleigh, Adalyn Carrales and Tate Fritsch, placed first overall in the junior division and all four members of the team brought home belt buckles. Rheagan and Rilan Karisch participated in the Aggiefest Livestock judging contest in Bryan on the same day. Individually, Rheagan placed nineteenth in the intermediate division. Her team, consisting of Rheagan, Karely Freytag, Kullen Kutac, and Reisy Janca placed fifth overall in the intermediate division, as well fifth in the swine division and fourth in the sheep and goat division.

Rheagan and Rilan Karisch also participated in livestock judging at the Brazos Valley Fair Judging Contest on Friday, Oct. 21. The team consisting of Rheagan, Abe McBride, Kaisley Janecka, and Kullen Kutac placed fourth overall in the Junior Division Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch and Bake Sale on Sunday, Oct. 30. This will be a drive thru event only, and serving gets underway at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10 a quart or $35 a gallon. Homemade chicken salad sandwiches and delicious deserts will also be available.

Ellinger VFD The Ellinger VFD will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station. they will drill on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Fire Station.

SLM Joint Worship The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County will be having a joint worship on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran in Fayetteville. Additionally a joint worship has been scheduled for Christmas day at 8:30 a.m. at St. John’s Warrenton and on Jan. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. John Rutersville.

Fayetteville Brethren Church Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.
