Come play bingo at the chamber hall on Saturday, April 15. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Physical address is 104 W. Colorado Sky in Ellinger.

The 86th Tomato Festival will be held Friday, May 26-Sunday, May 28.

Friday: margarita and chips and salsa, entree and dessert contest, plus round one of Chopped Challenge, and entertainment by The Broken Spokes from 8:30-11:30 p.m.

Saturday: Tomato Trot 5K Fun Run, BBQ Cookoff, Farmers Breakfast and Bloody Mary Contest, Final LIVE Chopped Challenge Showdown, raffles and face painting. The live auction will begin at 7 p.m. followed by The Bandits.

Sunday: homemade chamber fried chicken and sausage lunch drive-through starting at 10:30 am. Check out ellingertexas. com for more information.

Shared Lutheran Ministry Ellinger will host a joint worship on Sunday, April 16 at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at Noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

Food Bank

Central Texas Food Bank will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Saturday, April 15 from 1011 a.m. Food distribution will be a walk up method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables as clients walk through the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags and boxes. Wagons will be furnished by CTFB.

Hermann Sons

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will be meeting on

Monday, April 17 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.

Ellinger VFD

The Fire Department will hold the annual fundraiser on April 30 at the Chamber Hall. The barbecue chicken and sausage dinner is $12 per plate and serving in the hall starts at 11 a.m. Drive through will start at 10:30 a.m. and chicken to go will be $10 a chicken at the pits. The auction will begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds will be used to purchase a new rescue truck.
