Play Bingo in Ellinger

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host a bingo event on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Shared Lutheran Ministry St. John Lutheran in Ellinger is selling raffle tickets now in conjunction with their annual roast beef dinner. The dinner will be on Sunday, Oct. 13. Raffle tickets $20 a ticket for $50 for three, and only 1,000 tickets are sold. There are 40 great prizes on the ticket. The drawing will be immediately after the drive through dinner on Sunday, Oct. 13. The roast beef and sausage plates are $15 and will be a drive through from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Advance tickets are encouraged and Peters BBQ will cater. Also, desserts will be available. Lucille Koehl, (979) 966-3455 and Annie Mueller (979) 7025192, any church member, Koehl’s in Ellinger, Fayetteville Bank and the SLM office in Warrenton have tickets for sale.

The next joint worship will be for All Saints’ in Ellinger on Nov. 3 at 8 a.m. with a mimosa brunch.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Central Texas Food Bank The Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Oct. 19 from 1011 a.m. Food distribution will be a drive through and volunteers will distribute and load the pre-boxed food into each vehicle as the recipient drives through the line. Recipients need to clean out back seats, trunks, and truck beds to make room for the boxed food.

There will be no classes for LGISD on Friday, Oct. 4.
