Bingo in Carmine is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 24 at the Carmine Hall, located at 300 N. Hauptstrasse. Doors open at 4 p.m. Follow them at www.carminehall.org. Food and drinks will be available Burn Ban Lifted

The burn ban for Fayette County has been lifted as of Dec. 26. If you plan a controlled burn, be sure to call the Fayette County Sheriff’s office at (979) 968-5856 to give them your name, location of burn, and phone number. In Washington County, call the non-emergency line at (979) 277-7373.

Carmine VFD 

The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. Regular meeting is scheduled for Jan 23, 2025 at 6 p.m.

RT-C School News Round Top-Carmine ISD is on break for the Christmas holidays. Classes resume for the second semester on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.

High school girl’s and boys’ basketball teams host Dime Box on Friday, Jan. 3. The first game begins at 5 p.m. The girls and boys play at North Zulch on Jan. 7 at 5 p.m.

Homecoming will be held on Friday, Jan 10 when the varsity girls and boys host Buckholts at 5 p.m.

Ledbetter Bingo 

The first Ledbetter Bingo of the year will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Ledbetter Community Center from 2-5 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. It is for those 60 and older plus guests. A card for $5 covers all games with prizes awarded for each game.

Chips, snacks and drinks will be available for a free-will donation.

This is a non-profit community event for entertainment.

MLLC News 

AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Saturday worship with Holy Communion, observing the First Sunday after Epiphany, is at 6 p.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Sunday Worship with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m.

Quilting for Lutheran World Relief is Monday at 9 a.m.

Visitors’ Center 

The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot and Museum is open on the second Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The next dates are Jan. 10 and 11.
