Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America Meets in Brenham

The April meeting of the Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America was held at Brenham Presbyterian Church.

Susan Wood presented a lively demonstration about making potpourri from the herbs and flowers in our gardens. Members were entertained and informed and each went home with a sample bag of a fragrant potpourri.

The May meeting will be held on Thursday, May 12 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton beginning at 9:30 a.m. for a “meet and greet” followed at 10 a.m. by a presentation entitled “Bitter is Better” by Mary Doebbeling and Sara Holland, two of our members. All interested persons are invited to attend.
