Round Top Square Fair We are drawing very near to the Fall Round Top Antiques and Design Show. Don’t forget to submit your application to be a vendor at The Square Fair, which runs Oct. 10-27 on the Round Top Square. Please contact Cathy at cathyfgau@hotmail.com for more information or to apply.
Many of the vendors will be open for a longer duration during this year’s show. While most of the show will run Thursday, Oct. 10 to Sunday, Oct. 27, some select locations have opted to open beginning Oct. 5. The Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second, and third Monday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Round Top Family Library Chess Club for ages 7 and up meets from 4-5 p.m. on select Thursdays. Sign Language for ages 6 and up meets from 1-2 p.m. on select Mondays. Art after School meets Tuesdays for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. Wednesdays is Ballet for grades Kindergarten, first, and second. Junior Master Gardener Kids Garden class meets Wednesday for fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. These classes are free but do require advance registration online.
A bread making workshop with Cathy Gau will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m.1 p.m. The library will provide all supplies and everyone will take home a loaf of bread. This class is for ages 18 and up and is limited to 10 people, so sign up quickly.

Winedale
After a hiatus over the summer, Winedale is back to hosting its monthly online lunch and learn programs. The next Winedale Online Talk will occur Tuesday, Sept. 24 12 p.m. Author and historian, James Bailey Blackshear, will discuss via zoom his book Confederates and Comancheros. Focusing on the Texas-New Mexico borderlands in the 1860s and 1870s, his talk will illustrate how central these contested borderlands were to the history of the American West.
