Numerous Thefts Being Reported in La Grange
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 22-29.
Alarm
On Jan. 29, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for an alarm. Employee advised that the alarm system was malfunctioning and a service technician had been called to repair.
On Jan. 29, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Colorado in regard to an alarm. Building was secure.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 25, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager put a dog in the yard in the 700 block of S. Jackson.
Accident
On Jan. 24, Wostarek was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for an accident.
On Jan. 25, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for an accident.
On Jan. 25, Office Thomas Keeney responded to the 100 block of E. Colorado for a hit and run accident.
On Jan. 26, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for an accident.
Agency Assist
On Jan. 26, Archerd responded to the 200 block of Svoboda Ln. for traffic control.
City Ordinance Violation On Jan. 25, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Pecan for an ordinance violation.
On Jan. 28, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 800 block of E. Walnut for a loud noise and caller thought it was a shotgun. Officer observed fireworks artillery shell go off in the area.
Criminal Mischief
On Jan. 24, Wostarek took information in the 500 block of S. Jefferson for criminal mischief.
On Jan. 25, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to criminal mischief in the 500 block of Koenig Lane.
Citizen Assist
On Jan. 27, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Ln. in regard to a citizen assist.
Disturbance
On Jan. 23, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of Ellinger in regard to a disturbance.
On Jan. 24, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1200 block of W. Carroll Ln. for a verbal disturbance.
On Jan. 24, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Washington in regard to loud music.
On Jan. 28, Haynie spoke with a subject regarding a disturbance in the 700 bock of S. Franklin.
Driving While Intoxicated On Jan. 28, Haynie arrested a subject in the 100 block of E. Pecan for driving while intoxicated.
On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy 71 bypass in regard to a subject with a gun. Officer arrested subject for driving while intoxicated.
Family Violence
On Jan. 23, Haynie was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Von Minden in regard to family violence On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Ellinger in regard to family violence.
Fire
On Jan. 22, Chief David Gilbreath responded to a structure fire on Colorado St.
Fraud
On Jan. 26, Meinardus responded to the 1600 block of
W. State Hwy. 71 business for suspected fraud.
Juvenile Complaint
On Jan. 26, Officer Curtis Zwahr took information on a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of S. Jackson.
On Jan. 28, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Walnut in regard to a juvenile complaint.
Motorist Assist
On Jan. 24, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Travis in regard to a motorist assist.
Narcotics Complaint
On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a narcotics complaint.
Reckless Driving
On Jan. 29, Koehne arrested a subject for reckless driving after cutting donuts in the parking lot of White Rock Park.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Jan. 22, Anderson responded to the 100 block of N. Jefferson for a suspicious vehicle at the location.
On Jan. 25, Anderson responded to the 600 block of N. Main for a suspicious vehicle.
On Jan. 26, Archerd was dispatched to the 1900 block of 159 for a suspicious subject.
On Jan. 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass for a suspicious vehicle. Driver had stopped to rest for awhile.
On Jan. 28, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of Jefferson in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
On Jan. 28, Koehne spoke with a caller in the 100 block of S. Reynolds about a suspicious person.
Traffic Hazard
On Jan. 22, Currington spoke with a reckless driver in the 400 block of E. Travis.
Trespassing
On Jan. 23, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a subject trespassing.
On Jan. 29, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Reynolds in regard to possible trespassing.
Theft
On Jan. 22, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in response to a theft.
