Noviskie Re-Elected Fire Chief, Fayetteville Water System Update
City of Fayetteville
“The city applied for a grant for improvements and upgrades to our aerator basins in the water treatment plant. This grant has been delayed, but we have received notification that we should receive it this year,” stated City Councilman Neal Doty. “We will then go forward with the engineering and contracts for this project. Longer range, there are additional grants we have applied for that will also be used to improve our water supply and wastewater removal and treatment systems.”
The City Council meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the city offices.
A reminder that election day for the City of Fayetteville is on May 6. Two council seats and the position of mayor will be on the ballot. Office hours are from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The deadline to file an application for a place on the City of Fayetteville 2023 election ballot will be 5 p.m. on Feb. 17.

Picking Park A group of bluegrass enthusiasts are pickin’ again this Saturday. All levels of pickers are welcome to continue the tradition of live, acoustic bluegrass jamming in the town square.
