Non-Profit Networking Group to Meet at LG Animal Shelter

The Rural Nonprofit Networking Group (RNNG) is excited to invite all nonprofit staff and volunteers to join their next gathering which will be held on Wednesday, July 12.

This month, the gathering will be hosted by Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter and begins at 10 a.m. The gathering will be held at the Agriculture Extension building (255 Svoboda Lane) in La Grange,. Teresa Stanley-Brown, Executive Director of the shelter, will facilitate the discussion.

The topic this month is the Executive Director’s role in board recruitment. The topic conversation will cover how the Executive Director plays an active role in board recruitment and how to be effective.

Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter was formed in 1994 as Fayette County Animal Shelter. The current facility was built in 2000, in large part, thanks to a generous donation from Gardenia E. Janssen. In 2008, the shelter was renamed in her honor. GJAS takes in on average 1,400 dogs and cats annually.

The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group would like to invite all organizations interested in participating to attend. There will also be a virtual option.
