On Sunday night The Stone Cellar is hosting New Year’s Eve Bash with Black Cat Choir beginning at 7 p.m. Dress up as “Baby New Years” for a chance to win the $1,000 prize and watch the ball drop at midnight. Ticketholders will be served prime rib, potatoes, black-eyed peas, a veggie side, dessert, and rolls. Complimentary champagne will be passed out at midnight. Over at Round Top Rifle Hall, come out and decorate your table in fun New Year’s décor and bring an appetizer to share at the community snack table. At midnight, the hall serves cornbread and black-eyed peas for good luck in 2024. Doors open at 6 p.m., and Lost Cause Band takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at Round Top Mercantile or Round Top State Bank.

Ring in 2024 in Shelby at Harmonie Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m., and Southern Daze takes the stage from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $20 at the door and include your dose of black-eyed peas at midnight. The bar will be open for beer, seltzers, wine coolers, and set-ups. The kitchen will not be open so feel free to bring snacks. Personal coolers with outside drinks are not allowed.

On New Years Day, the annual Linda Patterson and Friends concert at Festival Hill is set to take place once again. This organ recital will be in the Edythe Bates Old Chapel. Buy your tickets early – seating is limited.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church The monthly Mass held at St. Martin’s Catholic Church on Hwy 237 is Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 8 a.m.

Round Top C of C

The January Chamber of Commerce Social is Thursday, Jan. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Busted Oak Cellars. This is free for members and $10 for non-members.

Festival Hill

The Houston Jazz Orchestra will be at Festival Hill on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students.

Saturday, Jan. 27, Asleep at the Wheel will be at Festival Hill from 7 to 9 p.m. This is an evening of Texas Swing benefiting Festival Hill. Tickets are available at festivalhill.org.

Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library’s annual Chili Cook-Off is a new date and location this year - Sunday, Jan. 14 at The Round Top Rifle Hall. Beginning at noon, enjoy music by the Black Cat Choir, sample and vote on your favorite chili and enjoy the day with our wonderful community. Tickets are $10, children 12 and under are free. 2024 Winter Antiques Show The 2024 Winter Antiques Show is Thursday, Jan. 18 through Sunday, Jan. 21. The winter show is primarily yearround vendors and businesses, but there are several pop-ups along Highway 237.

The Garden & Gun invites shoppers to the G&G Pop-Up at Blue Hills on Thursday, Jan. 18. The club menu features craft cocktails, and specialty snacks. There will be shopping, a speakeasy-style lounge and more! Blue Hills is located at 1701 Hwy 237.

Saturday, Jan. 19, join G&G at Lost Olivos Farm for a multi-course meal, cocktail hour, and live music. Tickets are $150. More information is available at gardenandgun. com.
