New Receptacle for Worn Flags

A replica of the USPS mail collection box was purchased and donated to SPJST, Lodge 1 in Fayetteville by veteran Ronnie Pflughaupt and his wife, Debbie. They are members/ officers of Lodge 1, with Ronnie being a 4th generation member.

The red, blue and yellow receptacle is for worn and tattered U.S. flags.

TheAmerican Legion Post 602 of Shelby will properly dispose of the flags collected at their retirement ceremony. The collection box is placed in front of the Fayetteville Area Heritage Museum on the square in downtown Fayetteville. If in the neighborhood, stop by and czech it out as well as the beautiful museum where you can read about the “daddy of SPJST,” J.R. Kubena.
