The Muldoon Museum is undergoing renovations. Things are happening. The foundation has been leveled to begin the whole process. The handicap ramp has been fixed up to the building and the insulation wrap has been put on. Things are progressing nicely and will be a great improvement when everything is finished.

Traffic Muldoon has been having lots of traffic. With all the new people and solar farm workers along with school traffic the roads have been busy. Be sure to be aware and keep alert when out driving in the area.

Also while you are out and about keep your eyes open for any strange out of place cars. We have to watch out for each other to continue to keep Muldoon safe. Check on your neighbors and make sure everything is going good. We are still a small community and need to keep watch for each other.

Niece Signs With Purdue Taylor Anderson, daughter of Jan and Jarvis Anderson of San Antonio signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for Purdue University. Taylor is part of the number 3 ranked recruiting class in the nation with a personal national ranking of 38. She played her high school career for Cornerstone Christian High School in San Antonio and was ranked the number 1 setter and number 6 overall by Prep-Dig and guided her team to four championship titles including the 2022 Nike Tournament of Champions Southwest and was named MVP Nike Tournament of Champions Southwest All Tournament.

Taylor is planning to study to become a physical therapist. She is niece to James and Joan Ivy; John and Linda Wetjen; and Judy and Kendall Jordan. Taylor’s mom, Jan (Wetjen) played volleyball in high school for Flatonia growing up.

Out and About There were three of us, Nancie Blair, James Ivy and myself who traveled to Houston to the Houston International Quilt Festival. We rode the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild bus to the show to enjoy a full day of quilts and shopping. We left the George R. Brown Convention Center just prior to the start of the big Astros game. It was fun seeing all the people milling around outside the convention center, but nice to have someone else do the driving.

John and Debra Schwartzenburg were thrilled to have their daughter Michelle Mitchell come in from Connecticut with her son Oliver for a twofold visit. Michelle not only came to see her parents and let them have some quality grandparent time with little Oliver, but she also traveled back into Austin to get some CEUs for her optometry license. While here Oliver got to meet some other family members including his aunt Lauren Schwartzenburg, great aunt and uncle, Nada and Ted Burns, and the Ivy cousins.

Devon Boehnke enjoyed a visit from his son Jeremy Wells. Jeremy came in to help with the cows and ranch maintenance. He mainly came down to get away from Austin and enjoy some country life.

James and I, along with Bobby Ivy went to San Antonio to attend Taylor Anderson’s signing for the Purdue volleyball team. After the signing the whole family, Jan, Jarvis and Taylor; Judy Jordan and her daughter Elizabeth Jordan; and John and Linda Wetjen all went out for dinner at Parry’s for pizza and visiting.
