Multi-County Child Care Conference Held

A Multi-County Child Care Conference was hosted on April 30th by Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Lavaca, and Gonzales County Family & Community Health Agents. The event was held at the Shiner Lutheran Church in Shiner, and provided childcare providers with six workshop hours for their annual state mandated training.

A total of 62 registrants from seven counties attended along with various exhibitors from various organizations, agencies, and local businesses. Sessions conducted included speakers Amanda Luddeke from Building Kids Steps; Bev Kellner, Project Director for Texas A&M AgriLife Passenger Safety; Norma’s House, Children’s Advocacy Center; Updates on State Minimum Standards; and Nutrition, Math, and Science with micro greens were conducted by the county agents.
